UMatter2

The Campaign

UMatter2 is a mental health initiative at UMass Lowell. The campaign was put in place to support students’ mental health and wellbeing. UMass Lowell cares about the success of the students on campus and will provide resources and services to be sure they have what they need to succeed.

UMatter2 rebranded in 2019 from UMatter to UMatter2. The social media account grew from 300 followers to 1200 on Instagram. There has been more budgeted for campus-wide events focusing on mental health and collaboration with cross-campus partners. With consistency on social media, engaging marketing, and student ambassadors, UMatter2 is growing each year and bringing valuable resources to the UML community.

Logo progression

The logo for the initiative has gone through various stages as the campaign grew. From left, the original UMatter logo, center logo 2019-2022 UMatter2 rebrand, and far right logo 2023 rebrand with the hands encompasses the petals which represent students, staff, and faculty.
